One story is of a young girl who is 16 years old," he says of one of the testimonies he video taped recently, She stayed for three days with the bodies of her family who were killed in their home. When the soldiers entered she was in her home with her father, mother, 12 year-old brother and two sisters. She watched the soldiers enter and shoot her mother and father directly, without saying anything." The girl managed to hide behind the refrigerator with her brother and witnessed the war crimes first-hand. "They beat her two sisters, then shot them in the head," he said. After this her brother was enraged and ran at the soldiers while shouting at them, so they shot him dead. "She continued hiding after the soldiers left and stayed with her sisters because they were bleeding, but still alive. She was too afraid to call for help because she feared the soldiers would come back and kill her as well. They are more free to live with skyrocketing deficits, reduced social programs, exorbitant energy costs, and tax cuts for the wealthy. Everything worth saying about the American way of life I could put in thirty pages. Topographically the country is magnificent and terrifying. Why terrifying? Because nowhere else in the world is the divorce between man and nature so complete...To call this a society of free peoples is blasphemous. What have we to offer the world beside the superabundant loot which we recklessly plunder from the earth under the maniacal delusion that this insane activity represents progress and enlightenment? - Henry Miller "The Air-Conditioned Nightmare" 2003

The war on Iraq was illegitimate . . . It was a criminal and moral conspiracy. No provocation, no link with al-Qaeda, no weapons of Armageddon. Tales of complicity and Osama were self-serving bullshit. In 1935 Sinclair Lewis became the first American to receive the Nobel Prize for Literature for his now famous satirical political novel It Can't Happen Here. Sinclair Lewis asked the question – what if an extremist right wing politician used a presidential election to make himself into a dictator? The hero, Doremus Jessup, a small-town newspaper editor in Vermont struggles with the new government’s attempts to censor his newspaper and ends up in a concentration camp. Buzz Windrip, the self-made dictator and one-time senator, rules America with the same cruel tactics he had practiced in his home state. Doremus Jessup for all his moderation in trying to get along with the right-wing dictatorship, finds himself part of the resistance movement. "Today Americans would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order; tomorrow they will be grateful. This is especially true if they were told there was an outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead with world leaders to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well being granted to them by their world government." - Henry Kissinger speaking at Evian, France, May 21, 1992 Bilderburgers meeting

"When a revolutionary power seeks to overthrow an existing and stable system, it begins first by refusing to acknowledge the legitimacy of that system, or it's rules. Those living within the system do not realize this, and therefore reject the notion that anyone would, for instance, disobey 'the rules' so blatantly and permit the murder of 3,000 people purely for political gain; even though such an action (or inaction) would hand the conspirators the cover to achieve virtually everything they could have ever dreamed of politically." - As Henry Kissinger once theorized (as related in Paul Krugman's book "The Great Unraveling")
