The Downing Street Memo
TIME ON THEIR SIDE

It’s been called “The Smoking Gun” memo. Its latest moniker is “The Downing Street Memo.” For those not in the know, which would, of course, be well over 90 percent of Americans, it is necessary to briefly restate the magnitude of this piece of irrefutable, hard fact evidence that the Bush administration and its obedient media are so desperately trying to cover up. It is this document which presents irrefutable evidence that the Bush administration wasn’t fooled by “bad intelligence” culminating in the unconstitutional invasion of Iraq, but that Bush launched the drive specifically to create this bad intelligence to initiate the war with Iraq.
For were this vital fact concerning the United States’ illegal, immoral, unjust and unconstitutional invasion and war on Iraq ever to come to the attention of the American public, Bush would be impeached.
The public outcry would be enormous. Families of Iraq veterans would become increasingly more receptive to other facts involving this Mid East debacle, plotted and initiated to give total military and economic supremacy to Israel in this oil-rich, economically vital part of the globe.
And those other facts include the mounting evidence that while 9-11 was indeed a terrorist plot, it was carried out via the massive technical and defense system support involving our own government and the Bush administration, and executed by our own CIA and Israeli intelligence. For why, if this were limited only to the astonishing creativity demonstrated by the simultaneous multi hijackings of four aircraft, conveniently laden with maximum supplies of jet fuel, and culminating in unexpected suicide strikes, would traces of explosives be found in the van of the five celebrating photographers who were later identified as agents of Israeli intelligence? Why were they held for a brief period, and then secretly spirited out of the country and then sent back to Israel?
Why were over one hundred of Osama bin Laden’s relatives immediately and secretly spirited out of the country right after 9-11? And recall the Bush family ties to the bin Laden family relative to both the Carlyle Group and oil interests; and even the connection between 9-11 Commission Chairman Thomas Kean and oil business partner, Khalid bin Mahfouz, Osama’s brother-in-law. Think of how easily this cursory collection of connective dots would become germane if tied to the Downing Street Memo.
The momentum of that revelation to the American people would soar to untold heights of healing for America’s body politic, identifying Congressman John Conyers of Michigan, as the only one in America that hung tough, and with his 88 other Democratic supporters, bringing down the most corrupt, deadly, and world-threatening regime that ever existed.
The more the Memo is discussed, the more courage would be produced, courage to challenge ALL the lies of the Bush administration, including 9-11 itself! It’s out there, the evidence of the monumental lies, fraud and deadly propaganda, and covered and reported by such magnificently courageous lead blocker true journalistic entities as Jeff Rense, Alex Jones, American Free Press, Information Clearing House, and so on.
If you want real news, these are the websites that offer it. Want to know which websites to avoid? Simple! Avoid all those sites, that just like the New York Times, Washington Post and network and cable TV news, refuse to even mention this blockbuster bombshell. And avoid especially those Bush-friendly sites that are desperately attempting to provoke their audience into favoring an invasion of Iran to get those “mad nuclear-crazed mullahs.” This is merely yellow “journalism” at its worst!
Clearly, “mum” is the word. Thank God for those with the courage to stand by their journalistic code of ethics and who consistently berate their own. I never liked “wise guy” Jeff Cohen when I was a Republican doofus in the Rush Limbaugh tradition. I always figured him for one of those “lefty” Clinton sycophants. Boy how things do change!
Congressman Conyers has brought the Downing Street Memo right into view within the United States Congress; and Jeff Cohen, one of Limbaugh’s dreaded “liberal” media denizens, and founder of Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting [FAIR], continues to hammer away at his own element: the freedom-stifling press.
Bush and his media know that Mr. and Mrs. America’s collective public memory is short-lived. And by keeping something from view, and hoping and agonizing for the passage of time, all will be forgotten, and the public will have neither will nor curiosity. Not this time! Conyers and Cohen have laid the necessary groundwork! Now, it’s up to US!
