"The looming bankruptcy of General Motors, the one-time U.S. industrial giant, whose bonds have already been down-graded to one degree above "junk" is the "punctum saliens" of the unfolding tragedy."

The financial system that was given to us in 1971 by George Pratt Shultz, Henry A. Kissinger, and Paul Volcker, when they marched into the office of then U.S. Treasury Secretary John Connally, and announced to him that he was to take the U.S. dollar off the gold standard, and which was announced by then President Richard Nixon on August 15, 1971, is over.

The Presidency that was given to us in 2000 by George Pratt Shultz, has now brought the United States to the brink of a financial crisis beyond the experience of any person living today.

The crisis is now, and no nation or region, individually, can protect itself from the crisis, without the U.S.A. changing its policy. The looming bankruptcy of General Motors, the one-time U.S. industrial giant, whose bonds have already been down-graded to one degree above "junk" is the "punctum saliens" of the unfolding tragedy. And, at the same time, the desperate drive by the Bush Administration to rescue the Wall Street and U.S. financial dependency on $5 billion in foreign investment every day by stealing the legacy of Social Security and putting the funds—by law—into Wall Street's casino, has met serious resistance, and it must be stopped.

The time for a solution is now. To educate leaders in this fight, Lyndon LaRouche, the former Democratic Party primary candidate for President in 2004, has written Earth's Next Fifty Years, a book comprised of five articles and papers that address the military, scientific, moral, and economic basis of this crisis. The book is published by LaRouche PAC, and will be available at the webcast. Join LaRouche PAC for this webcast and discussion with U.S. and international statesmen, economists, and the LaRouche Movement.

International Webcast Address from Washington, D.C.
by Lyndon LaRouche
April 7, 1 pm Eastern Standard Time
"We are caught, like a ship in a storm, within an already onrushing world crisis, which now threatens to plunge the planet as a whole into a new dark age. It were still possible to save the world economy from this horror; but, we shall not survive without abrupt, radical measures which would return us to President Franklin Roosevelt's intended unleashing of his intended, post-war implementation of the Bretton Woods monetary system. We either choose that option, or blame ourselves for the awful things which soon follow."

LaRouche is leading the fight to revive the anti-fascist policies of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and bring about a New Bretton Woods. LaRouche is leading the fight against the fascist economics of Shultz and the Economic Hit Men, today, with the only solution. What are you doing?
