Whistleblowers and Wasted Words
OUR DISCONNECTED GOVERNMENT!

You can always count on government to rapidly embrace even the slightest
suggestion to expand itself, no matter how perfectly useless and unnecessary
the gesture. As long as it is thought that such a response will placate the
very easily fooled American people, it will be offered, immediately acted
upon, and then be further reinforced as a meaningful response by an obedient
"free and independent" press.
No sooner has the phony-baloney 9-11 Commission regurgitated the same
worse-than-useless moronic recommendations, than the imbeciles responsible
for incompetent and incapable government will embrace such recommendations
thereby providing a massive expansion of exactly what was in place before,
guaranteeing the same failures all over again. And of course, expanded
government will cost US more in higher taxes and leave US no better off than
before, perhaps even less secure and certainly more vulnerable to continued
terrorist attacks.
I had no sooner finished writing commentary concerning the 9-11 Commission's
executive summary and debunking their "investigation," when whistleblower
Sibel Edmonds posted an open letter to Commission Chairman Thomas Kean on
Antiwar.com. http://www.antiwar.com/orig/s-edmonds.php?articleid=3230
In her open letter dated August 2nd entitled, "An open letter to the 9-11
panel," Edmonds raises many of the same questions as I did in my article. I
simply hammered out query after query based on common sense, as well as the
obvious attempt by the Commission to lie, generalize, confuse and
deliberately misrepresent facts and information.
In my preceding column http://www.etherzone.com/2004/lang080304.shtml, I
wrote: Acknowledging that there was more than ample intelligence available
through the field efforts of both the CIA and the FBI, I offer that the
headquarters ends of these operations NEVER developed and communicated ANY
initiatives outward and downward to coordinate these warnings. And President
Bush failed to discipline and fire those in charge, especially Robert
Mueller of the FBI and George Tenet of the CIA. When a chief executive fails
to demote or fire those under him who have failed so miserably, then the
responsibility for failure rises to his level.
Here's some of what Edmonds had to say about the 9-11 Commission's effort:
"Your commission was created by law to investigate 'facts and circumstances
related to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001' and to 'provide
recommendations to safeguard against future acts of terrorism,' and has now
issued its '9/11 Commission Report.' You are now asking us to pledge our
support for this report and its recommendations with our tax money, our
security and our lives. Unfortunately, I find your report seriously flawed
in its failure to address serious intelligence issues that I, as a witness
to the commission, made you aware of." Her frustration, combined with the
criminal harassment perpetrated against her by FBI Director Robert Mueller
and Attorney General John Ashcroft, speaks loud and clearly in providing a
real world assessment of the honesty, dedication and duty to God and country
exhibited by this so-called "free and independent" commission of
"fact-finding" politicians.
Edmonds continues: "Thus, I must assume that other serious issues I am not
aware of were also omitted from your report. These omissions cast doubt on
the validity of your report and therefore on its conclusions and
recommendations. Considering what is at stake - our national security - we
are entitled to demand answers to unanswered questions, and to ask for
clarification of issues that were ignored and omitted from the report." As
if by another God-decreed coincidence, The New York Times offered yet
another item of interest raising that very same point in Edmonds' previous
comment.
Edmonds was 100 percent correct! Obviously, there were other serious
failures that the committee also participated in covering up. In his August
2nd article, "Another F.B.I. Employee Blows Whistle on Agency," NY Times
reporter Eric Lichtblau begins: "As a veteran agent chasing home-grown
terrorist suspects for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Mike German
always had a knack for worming his way into places few other agents could
go. In the early 1990's, he infiltrated a group of white supremacist
skinheads plotting to blow up a black church in Los Angeles. A few years
later, he joined a militia in Washington State that talked of attacking
government buildings. Known to his fellow militia members as 'Rock,' he
tricked them into handcuffing themselves in a supposed training exercise so
the authorities could arrest them."
Lichtblau continues: "So in early 2002, when Mr. German got word that a
group of Americans might be plotting support for an overseas Islamic
terrorist group, he proposed to his bosses what he thought was an obvious
plan: go undercover and infiltrate the group. But Mr. German says F.B.I.
officials sat on his request, botched the investigation, falsified documents
to discredit their own sources, then froze him out and made him a 'pariah.'
He left the bureau in mid-June after 16 years and is now going public for
the first time - the latest in a string of F.B.I. whistleblowers who claim
they were retaliated against after voicing concerns about how management
problems had impeded terrorism investigations since the Sept. 11 attacks."
Aren't these precisely the same complaints Edmonds offered? I mean,
precisely the same? Think about that for just a moment! Edmonds was a
short-term employee, yet could see the miserable failings of the FBI's
management. And we're not just talking about run-of-the-mill incompetence
and ineptitude - we are talking about criminal activity here folks! And
this from the NUMBER ONE law enforcement agency in the nation! German was a
16-year employee, and then the FBI and its management treated him as a
"pariah?" Please remember when Sibel Edmonds tried to testify for an
investigative panel in the United States Senate, she was accosted and
threatened on the steps of the United States Senate Capital Building by FBI
thugs.
Remember also, that when Edmonds tried to give more information, Robert
Mueller tried to intimidate her, and when he couldn't, he had Attorney
General John Ashcroft use legal means via some remote "national security"
statute to intimidate and silence her. And of course, they threatened her
with imprisonment in John Ashcroft's secret USA Patriot Act I&II prison system.
Hear is Lichtblau again quoting German: "'What's so frustrating for me,' Mr.
German said in an interview, a copy of the Sept. 11 commission report at his
side, 'is that what I hear the F.B.I. saying every day on TV when I get
home, about how it's remaking itself to fight terrorism, is not the reality
of what I saw every day in the field.' Mr. German refused to discuss
details of the 2002 terrorism investigation, saying the information was
classified." Obviously, the intimidation team of Mueller and Ashcroft are at it again!
Again, these aren't instances of ineptitude or incompetence; they represent
criminal actions. Again Lichtblau: "While Mr. German would not confirm the
location of the investigation, he said in an interview at the office of his
Washington lawyer, Lynne Bernabei that his problems intensified after he
complained about the management of the case in September 2002. He said
F.B.I. officials whom he would not name backdated documents in the case,
falsified evidence and falsely discredited witnesses in an apparent effort
to justify their approach to the investigation. He cited institutional
inertia, even after Sept. 11."
In a related article written by Karen Kwiatkowski and posted on
LewRockwell.com on August 3rd, "20 Months and 585 Pages Wasted - Your Government at Work for You!",
http://www.lewrockwell.com/kwiatkowski/kwiatkowski88.html Kwiatkowski
writes, "The 9/11 Commission 'discovered' the main problem is not technology
or information or even leadership - it was the government rule-set. The
rules they used didn't allow our Jabba the Hutt commanders in Washington to
properly predict and then respond to the millions of possibilities that
constitute daily reality. If only the government could have more rules and
regulations, more mandates and controls, if only we could centralize
control, things would be much better, so says the 9/11 Commission. One
wonders if the entire commission wasn't secretly replaced by pod people from the old Soviet Central Committee."
Then Kwiatkowski involves the FBI: "Why were the only gas stations mentioned
those where terrorists were spotted before 9-11 - and not the Citgo directly
in line with the Flight path of AA 77 as it aimed for the Pentagon? The
security video from Citgo was confiscated by law enforcement - no hints as
to what it recorded were provided in the Commission report. In fact, as the
CITGO gas station employee noted, 'The FBI was here within minutes and took
the film.' Sounds like the FBI had its eye on the ball, at least after the
attacks!" According to an employee at the gas station, that video camera
and its video would have clearly shown the aircraft hitting the Pentagon.
Why is this classified, never mind as to why the Commission didn't request and examine it?
What we have here folks, is another massive scam and cover-up, brought to
you by your Congress of Criminals and the bureaucrats and operatives within
the Beltway Bordello. Nothing is required - absolutely no changes and
improvements to the "system." There was no failure in terms of
coordination - government coordination is, as usual, beyond excellent. Just
look at the fantastic coordination by the government, especially via the
FBI, in covering up TWA 800; their "jamming" of live TV coverage at the
crash site of downed Flight AA587 in Rockaway, Queens, and that cover-up;
the FBI-supervised massacre of men, women and children at Waco, and that
cover-up; all the tips, leads and solid information provided to upper
management in the CIA, FBI, FAA, DoD, and the White House itself predicting
9-11; the cover-up of CIA falsifications to support the illegal war and war
crimes now being perpetrated against Iraq; the war crimes and prisoner
abuses at Guantanamo Bay and Abu Ghraib, along with their on-going cover-ups in process now along with this 9-11 farce.
Compare how quickly President George W. Bush accepted the recommendation of
the 9-11 kangaroo cover-up panel to create yet another czar of
centralization for intelligence to the foot-dragging he and his
administration are guilty of in terms of funding the committee and
cooperating with it in the past in terms of providing information. Remember the 28 pages?
Responding to Bush's rare pronouncement of truth when he uttered, "We are a
nation in danger!" Kwiatkowski offers: "You better believe it, Mr. Bush. We
have an incompetent, bankrupt, obese federal government bureaucracy led by
ignoramuses who dream of empire, with continued zero accountability to
either the facts on the ground or to the people who pay for it all."
