Registered democrats outnumbered republicans by at least 17 million nation wide, and in Florida democrats outnumbered republicans by 400,000. According to ABC-TVs exit polls, Kerry was slated to easily win in Florida, Ohio, New Mexico, Colorado, Nevada, and Iowa, but as the touch screen voting tallies came in, these states were all called for Bush. In an article written by ex Clinton political consultant Dick Morris for 'The Hill', a publication popular with many Washington insiders, he said, "This was no mere mistake, exit polls cannot be as wrong across the board as they were on election night." 

With the help of new paperless republican owned computer voting systems and other dirty tricks, Bush took the nation, and the republicans took the House and the Senate. Millions of black voters had their votes disproportionately 'spoiled' by faulty voting equipment intentionally located in their precincts. Untold thousands of Americans who attempted to register as democrats had their registration forms shredded by 'Voters Outreach of America', a right wing front organization funded by the Republican National Committee to conduct voter registration in Nevada, Oregon and West Virginia.

In key states like Ohio, Florida and New Mexico, voter names were systematically removed from the rolls and absentee ballots were overlooked overwhelmingly in minority areas, like Rio Arriba County, New Mexico, where Hispanic voters have a 500 percent greater chance of their vote being spoiled.

Examples of obvious fraud were rampant. In Baker County, Florida, with 12,887 registered voters, 69.3% of them Democrats and 24.3% of them Republicans, the vote was only 2,180 for Kerry and 7,738 for Bush. 
In Dixie County, Florida with 9,676 registered voters, 77.5% of them Democrats and a mere 15% registered as Republicans, only 1,959 people voted for Kerry, but 4,433 voted for Bush.

Voting lines in predominantly-Democratic precincts were 5-10 hours in length, while almost nonexistent in key Republican precincts. 

The Election Protection Coalition, an umbrella group of volunteer poll monitors, took dozens of calls from six states, particularly from Democrats in Florida who said when they tried to vote for John Kerry at touch screen voting terminals, the computer asked them to verify their vote for Bush.

In his "Basic Report from Columbus", Attorney Ray Beckerman outlined the disaster in Ohio on election day. Beckerman writes, "Touch screen voting machines in Youngstown OH were registering "George W. Bush" when people pressed "John F. Kerry" ALL DAY LONG." In a precinct in  Franklin County, Ohio, unofficial results had Bush receiving 4,258 votes to Democrat John Kerry's 260 votes but records show only 638 voters cast ballots in that precinct. 

In "How They Could Steal the Election This Time", Ronnie Dugger wrote before the election, "36 million (votes) will be tabulated completely inside the new paperless, direct-recording-electronic (DRE) voting systems, on which you vote directly on a touch-screen...you get no paper record of your vote...you never know, despite what the touch-screen says, whether the computer is counting your vote as you think you are casting it or, either by error or fraud, it is giving it to another candidate. No one can tell what a computer does inside itself by looking at it; an election official 'can't watch the bits inside,' says Dr. Peter Neumann, the principal scientist at the Computer Science Laboratory of SRI International and a world authority on computer-based risks...The four major election corporations count votes with voting-system source codes (which) are kept strictly secret..."

In "Vote Fraud: What they Aren't Telling You", Devvy Kidd, wrote that a, "1996 Relevance Magazine revealed that two-way hidden modems were being built into the ever growing number of computerized optical scanner/direct recording voting machines in use all across the country from New England to California...these hidden modems are accessible by remote cell phone technology...these voting machines can be accessed and manipulated from a central super computer without a phone line connected to the wall, and without the local precinct workers knowing that anything is happening at all."

It would seem that free and honest elections in America have become a thing of the past, or as Joseph Stalin once said: "Those who cast the votes decide nothing. Those who count the votes decide everything"

Bush was the first president since Herbert Hoover to snub the NAACP, because he didn't need the black vote. Bush rolled back thirty years of environmental laws and protections because he didn't need the votes of environmentally conscious Americans. Bush announced plans to privatize Social Security because he didn't need the votes of retired people, the disabled, or working Americans.

When the election process is rigged it doesn't matter what the people think. The only constraint held by the people over politicians has been removed. Now they can loot Social Security into bankruptcy and wage endless unjust wars for oil and corporate profit without repercussions from the American electorate.

When the votes of the people no longer reflect the true will of the people, they no longer have a government that represents them. Such governments are not governments at all, but oligarchies and dictatorships.
