George W. Bush once told The Washington Post's Bob Woodward the great thing about being president was that he didn't have to answer to anybody. "I'm the commander," Bush bragged. "See -- I do not need to explain why I say things...Maybe somebody needs to explain to me why they say something, but I don't feel like I owe anybody an explanation..."
So that's it, then. Houston -- we have your problem. And, like they say in Texas -- anybody with half sense and one eye can see it's out of control.

Ever since we fell into this dark, gloomy abyss shortly after the thievish 2000 (s)election, many of us felt stranded -- forced to live in fear and confusion above the transitory rabbit hole. More times than not, I felt I was locked in an alternate universe -- playing out the movie character "Neo" like in the 1999 cyber-thriller, "The Matrix."
The last four years have been surreal. A dreadful and draining experience -- one hell of a hawkish, bloody four-year "Nebuchadnezzar" ride!

Rigged Poll Data For a Rigged Election

According to the poll data Kerry’s lead over Bush miraculously evaporated only two weeks after the Democratic convention. A Gallop poll now says the Bush-Cheney ticket has the support of 50 percent of registered voters, Kerry-Edwards have 47 percent, and Nader-Camejo have less than 3 percent.

Over 100  thousand innocent men, women, and children have been slaughtered in Iraq and Afghanistan for oil, Israel, Halliburton, and the lies told by the Bush administration.

President Bush strongly endorsed the loss of U.S. jobs to foreign labor markets, personally signing a report that touted overseas outsourcing and the elimination of 3 million America jobs, with another 15 million people out of work and no longer collecting benefits.

Bush’s obedient republican congress voted against criminal penalties for CEOs, tougher corporate regulations and stronger protections for employee pensions. The results have been the collapse of Enron and WorldCom, and a string of similar financial debacles. Corporations and the corrupt individuals behind them used the new climate of deregulation to rob thousands of working people of their pensions and the American taxpayers of billions of dollars.

George W. Bush and his administration eviscerated laws that had protected America's air, water, public lands, and wildlife for the past thirty years. Bush serves big industrial political contributors by allowing them to release dangerous levels of arsenic and mercury into the air and water. With flagrant disregard for public health and welfare American lives are sacrificed and the environment is destroyed in the name of lower manufacturing costs and increased profits. According to the Natural Resource Defense Council, Bush is doing more damage to environmental protections than any other president in US history.

George W. Bush has dumped over 1000 metric tons of the deadly U238-isotope, America’s nuclear waste, on Iraq and Afghanistan, making childhood leukemia and spontaneous abortions commonplace, dooming the people of both countries to endless suffering and premature death. According to a UN Sub Commission report, cancer in Iraq has increased 1000%, and deformities 600%. Depleted Uranium has rendered Iraqi lands infertile, entered the food chain, and contaminated the ground water. With a half-life of 4.5 billion years the Uranium 238 dropped on Iraq by Bush and his father has rendered much of the country permanently unfit for human habitation.

Like a Robin Hood in reverse Bush is raiding the people’s Social Security Trust Fund to pay for his war and three massive tax cuts totaling 1.9 trillion dollars, with 54 percent of the benefits going to the wealthiest 1 percent of the population. And he recently circumvented Congress through the federal regulatory process, changed the rules of 'The Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938', and took the overtime pay away from 8 million financially struggling American workers.

George W. Bush who went AWOL from Air National Guard duty for approximately one year while avoiding the Vietnam war, has: rolled back imminent-danger pay and family-separation allowances for troops in combat zones; canceled benefit increases to families of soldiers who die on active duty; instituted an involuntary recall of troops in Iraq creating a back-door draft; extended tours of duty; delayed retirements, and prevented enlisted personnel from leaving the service causing the loss of civilian jobs. In spite of these and many other harsh measures carried out by the Bush administration against US soldiers and their families, the polls show a strong support for Bush among veterans at 58 percent, well ahead of John Kerry, the decorated Vietnam war veteran, at 35 percent.

Though It is difficult to believe that a truly corrupt and remorseless individual could be so loved by the masses history is not without precedent. The German people followed their beloved Hitler to their own destruction. It was not until every major city in Germany had been bombed and most of the males between 12 and 65 years of age had died fighting in Hitler’s endless war, that the German people began to question the leadership of their Furer. Joseph Stalin, the absolute ruler of Russia from 1929 until his death in 1953, killed millions of his own countrymen in gulags and work camps. When he died, thousands of people were trampled to death at his funeral while trying to get one last look at their "god".

In the case of George W. Bush it is highly unlikely that half of the American people actually want four more years of his never ending war and outrageous economic and environmental policies. What we are witnessing is a pattern of misleading poll data which has become the trademark of the American election process. In 1991 President George Bush 'the first' had an approval rating of 81 percent of Democrats based on New York Times poll data, but within the year he was defeated for reelection by Bill Clinton. Recently, on August 15, 2004 a highly questionable exit poll was conducted during the first-ever US - CIA backed California style recall referendum for a president in Venezuelan history. The US firm Penn, Schoen & Berland Associates, predicted a major defeat for President Hugo Chavez, but Chavez trounced his right wing enemies with 59 percent of the vote. 

The same polling agencies who told the American people that George W. Bush was ahead during the 2000 election, when Al Gore received more votes, are now telling the American people that half of them will be voting for Bush on November 2, 2004. They will keep repeating the same misleading information over and over again right up until election day, but regardless of who the people may or may not want for president, there are three Republican dominated corporations which now control over 80% of the vote count in the United States: Sequoia Voting Systems Inc; Electronic Systems & Software Inc; and Diebold Inc. As this transition of responsibility for the American election process has taken place a pattern of election upsets favoring 'right wing' candidates has emerged. These small victories have only been practice runs in preparation for the 2004 presidential election. 

By implementing the new touch screen voting systems, eliminating the paper trail, and blocking access to the inner workings of the software, the Neocons have made election rigging extremely easy, and when accompanied by constant propaganda like fake poll data, people will accept the election results as fact.

The news media will repeat the story of Bush’s popularity again and again until it becomes truth and the America people have been psychologically prepared to accept yet another gigantic fraud. The 2004 election will be determined by a computer generated vote count and the approval of the majority according to the polls.
